North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District is located mostly in the northeastern part of the state.
This area is located largely in North Carolina’s Coastal Plain region and contains towns such as Durham, Greenville, Henderson, Roanoke Rapids, and Rocky Mount.
The district is represented by U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield, a Democrat.
